Private text & voice support
for mothers of tweens & teens

Sometimes you don’t need more advice. You need another set of eyes.

For smart, capable mothers who are inside something complicated, and can’t quite see it from where they’re standing.

Who it’s for

You already know a lot.

You’ve read the books. You know about anxiety, attachment, the teenage brain. You could explain it to a friend over coffee.

But when it’s your daughter in the doorway at 7:40, refusing to get in the car, all of that goes quiet.

That isn’t a gap in what you know. It’s where you’re standing. It’s very hard to see a pattern you’re inside.

What you can bring me

The real thing, in your own words.

  • She won’t go to school, and every morning is a negotiation.
  • He’s fine everywhere except at home.
  • She tells her friends everything and me nothing.
  • Two houses, two sets of rules, and she’s caught in the middle.
  • My two can’t be in the same room without it turning.
  • Something I said that I wish I hadn’t. What now?
  • I can’t even name what’s wrong. Something just feels off.
  • The small thing that keeps happening. Small things are often where it shows first.

What it looks like

You send it while it’s happening.

Look at the times. You send it at 7:41, in the middle of it. I reply when I’ve thought about it. Then we keep going, one question at a time, until we can see what’s actually driving it.Illustration, not a real client conversation

Her · Tue 07:41
She won’t go to school. Again. I’ve tried everything. If I push, she panics. If I let her stay home, am I making it worse? I don’t know what to do anymore.
Caaren · Tue 09:12
Before deciding whether to push or back off, I want to understand something. What happens at the exact moment she realizes she has to go?
Her · Tue 12:30 · voice note
1:52

“…honestly it starts the night before. Around nine, when I ask if her bag is packed…”

Caaren · Tue 15:05
That’s useful. So it starts the night before, not at the school gate. That changes what we’re looking at. What’s different about the nights it doesn’t happen?

How I think about it

I’m not going to tell you what you should do.

I’m interested in four things.

  • What’s driving itBehaviour usually makes sense once you can see what it’s responding to.
  • What the reaction is doing for herA meltdown, a slammed door, a silence. Each one is accomplishing something.
  • What we’re assumingThe story we’ve told ourselves about why it’s happening, and whether it actually fits.
  • What we might be missingThe timing, the exception, the night it didn’t happen. That’s often where the answer is.

And then a practical next move. Something small you can try this week. We look at what happens, and follow the next clue.

What you get

Access to how I think.

  • Private text and voice access to me, as often as you need
  • Questions you might not have thought to ask
  • Patterns named when I see them
  • A practical next move, not a lecture
  • Continuity. I remember what you told me last week, so you never start from scratch

How the asynchronous part works

Unlimited sending. Considered replies.

Send things whenever they happen, day or night. Text, voice notes, screenshots.

I read everything and reply within [RESPONSE WINDOW] on [DAYS]. Not instantly, and not 24/7.

Sending it the moment it happens matters more than getting an instant answer. You get it out of your head. I get it while it’s fresh.

We use [CHANNEL]. I’ll send you the details when you start.

To be clear

What this isn’t.

  • Not a course, and not a programme to follow
  • Not generic parenting advice
  • Not therapy, and not a replacement for medical or mental-health care
  • Not crisis support. If anyone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first

Who you’d be talking to

I’m Caaren.

American, living in the Netherlands. Mother of three teenage daughters.

Before this I was a CPA in real estate finance. I spent years looking at numbers that didn’t add up and finding out why. I still think that way.

Most of what I share online is what I’m teaching my own girls. Not rules. How to think something through. That’s what I bring to your situation.

Questions

Before you ask.

Is this coaching?
It’s conversation. No scheduled calls, no homework, no programme to follow. You bring what’s happening and we look at it together.
What if I don’t know what to say?
Send the mess. Half a sentence is fine. “Bad morning. Again.” is a perfectly good start.
Text or voice?
Either. Use whatever is easier in the moment.
How fast will you reply?
Within [RESPONSE WINDOW] on [DAYS]. Not instantly, and not overnight.
Which app do we use?
[CHANNEL]. I’ll send you the details when you start.
Is it private?
Yes. What you send stays between us. [DATA AND PRIVACY DETAIL]
What if someone is in danger?
Contact your local emergency services or a crisis line first. This is support for the everyday complicated, not for emergencies.

Bring the real thing.
